Kuwait: Malayali Couple Found Dead The tragic death of a Malayali nurse couple in Kuwait came to light on Thursday morning. The couple was found dead in their flat near United Indian School in Abbasiya.
The deceased have been identified as Sooraj and Bincy, natives of Alakode in Kannur district.
Both were employees of the Kuwait Ministry of Health. According to the police report, neighbors grew suspicious and alerted the flat security, who then informed the Operations Room of the Kuwait Ministry of Interior. Following this, officers from Farwaniya Police reached the scene.
When police knocked on the door of the Abbasiya flat, no one responded. After obtaining permission from the public prosecutor, they broke open the door and entered the apartment, where they found two bodies.
The first body discovered was that of a woman with her throat slit, lying in a pool of blood in the hall. After a further search, another body was found. The police report indicates that the husband likely killed his wife and then died by suicide. Neighbors reported hearing arguments and the woman screaming during the night, but they were unable to intervene as the door was locked. This was later shared with the police.

After examining the two bodies, the public prosecutor ordered forensic fingerprint collection and transferred the bodies to the forensic medicine department.
The couple had sent their children — Evelyn and Aiden — to India just days earlier and had returned to Kuwait after celebrating Easter. They had completed the procedures to resign from their jobs in Kuwait and were preparing to relocate to Australia.
As part of this plan, they had enrolled their children in school back in India and had returned to Kuwait only a few days ago. Sooraj worked at Jaber Hospital under the Ministry of Health, while Bincy was a staff nurse under the Ministry of Defense.
Procedures are currently underway to repatriate their mortal remains to India.
