Gujarat AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi has claimed that those arrested are party workers. The Aam Aadmi Party has responded to the issue, with Gadhvi calling the BJP a dictatorship and stating that they are afraid of arrests.

Gadhvi also criticized the BJP for what he sees as a monopoly of power. He claimed that Aam Aadmi Party workers in Gujarat have been jailed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code in connection with the poster campaign, and that this is evidence of the fear that the BJP and Modi have of opposition.

The AAP-led “Modi Hathao, Desh Bachao” campaign is being conducted across the country in 11 languages. This is part of the party’s efforts to galvanize opposition against the Modi government ahead of the 2024 general election.

This is not the first time that arrests have been made in connection with the Poster campaign. Six people were arrested earlier in Delhi for putting up similar posters against the Prime Minister. These arrests involved two press owners who were charged with vandalizing public property and not following printing press laws.
